Michelle Graffeo – Volunteer & Student Coordinator – Ballarat Community Health

I recently completed my Advanced Diplomas of “Community Sector Management” and ” Leadership & Management” with NVETS. As a Coordinator of Volunteers I found the workshops, the training content, readings and assignments perfectly aligned with the work I do. These studies have provided robust frameworks to examine and improve many of my volunteer programs, which has been of enormous benefit to the organisation and our volunteers.

Mimi Laurilla – Coordinator – Speakers Bank and Innovative Business Programs – Yarraville Victoria

When I heard about this program, I thought it was a great opportunity to complete a qualification that would support the professional work that we in the volunteer/not-for-profit sector do, so I asked my organisation if they could support me – and luckily they did! Now that I have completed the CERT IV in Volunteer Management , I feel more knowledgeable and equipped with the skills and strategies to deal with the everyday stuff in running a volunteer program, and to be supported with the information on the impact legislation and other management principles have in the way we do things. A big thank you to our Trainer, Donatella for her expertise and effective teaching method, and a big thank you to my classmates who supported me during our sessions and offline. NVETS please continue to offer programs such as this to help our industry grow!

Amanda Parker – Volunteer Coordinator – Cleland Wildlife Park

Enrolling in Certificate IV in Coordination of Volunteer Programs has allowed me to hit the ground running in my new role as Volunteer Coordinator at Cleland Wildlife Park. It has given me a great understanding of the key elements of a volunteer program, challenged me to think outside the box, and given me the confidence to recommend changes to the program that will benefit individual volunteers, the organisation and the community. The trainer, Donatella, is brilliant! Highly Recommend!

Rachel Adby – Marketing and Volunteer Officer – Tynedale Christian School

I found the course really practical for my work and the industry; withal the assignments making complete sense in the context of my workplace – so none of the work I completed seemed unnecessary!

I learned so much from the other student in the class, who work in different industries from mine. The stories they shared around struggles and the initiatives that they had implemented were so applicable, and helped me feel like issues I face are not unique, as well as giving me great new ideas to think about.
