Peter Heyworth     peter-heyworth-125x125

Peter is the Executive Officer at NVSA/NVETS. He is well known within the volunteer sector and is seen as an innovator, capacity builder and mentor. He is passionate about volunteerism and its impact on society.

He was the inaugural President of the Australasian Association of Volunteer Administrators (AAVA) now AAMoV, Australia’s first professional Association for volunteer program managers.

Peter has extensive experience in the setting up and development of volunteer programs. He has been involved with the development, review and monitoring of volunteer program management qualifications at both State and National levels; and the review of volunteering programs at local, State and national levels. 

He was State Volunteer Manager for a leading disability agency for 10 years, a program involving some 950+ volunteers.

Peter holds qualifications in Geology; theology; volunteer management; community sector management; training and assessment; public policy, including a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (Carnegie Mellon University in Adelaide); Vocational Graduate Certificate in Management (Learning); Cert. IV TAE.

Donatella our Training and Development Manager. She has over 14 years experience managing volunteer programs. Her previous position was Director of Volunteer Services at a large hospital involving over 500 hospital and community based volunteers.

Donatella has a good understanding of volunteerism locally, in Australia and overseas. She is held in high regard within the volunteer sector and has been on the Board of AAMoV (formerly AAVA), the national professional association for volunteer managers; and a number of other Not for Profit Boards.

Donatella was included in the inaugural SA Honour Roll, in the 2009, 2010, 2011 Who’s Who of Australian Women and received a Certificate of Recognition from AAVA for her work in the sector.

She holds qualifications in Community Sector Management, training and assessment and volunteer program management, including a Vocational Graduate Certificate of Management (Learning); Cert. IV TAE.
